PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS

Engineering a good user experience first involves 'diagnosing' problems with the current design or strategy. Is a user experience falling short of a desired benchmark or performance target? From diagnosis, prescription of a new user experience is possible, one that will hit or exceed performance expectations while addressing user-centred needs.

Cognitive Engineering the user experience is about bringing the customer's actual behaviour and performance with a web site closer and closer to what the Business desires.

Through analysis of current designs and user journeys, user requirements, site analytics, 'Business Intelligence', and usability studies, problems are understood. Solutions are prescribed through optimised site maps, user journeys, wireframes, process flows and intuitive navigation models.

We conduct usability tests of prototypes when seeking solutions, or live systems when understanding the scope of performance problems.
